Accomplishments: 4 Time Intercontinental Champion; 3 Time United States Champion; 3 Time Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston has held Championship gold in WWE on ten separate occasions, which is very impressive no matter which way you slice it. He has found the most success in the Intercontinental and United States title divisions. These titles both function as secondary to the World Title, but have a prestige all their own, sometimes providing a stepping stone to bigger things but always being used as a proving ground for hungry young performers. There is no doubt that in recent years, WWE has only put sporadic effort into these titles, leaving many fans with the belief that they really don't matter much anymore. But to the wrestlers, there is still a lot of lustre in attaining these belts, as it shows that the company is placing its faith in you for a period. The list of superstars that Kingston defeated in order to win these belts include World Champions like Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz and Sheamus but it is true that it is hard to truly remember a memorable feud or storyline that Kingston engaged in during any of his reigns. He has always been a babyface throughout his entire WWE career, and has never had much of a character to play other than the 'happy to be there' good guy. WWE has to take at least part of the blame for this, but hopefully Kofi's involvement in 'The New Day' stable (along with Xavier Woods and Big E) that has been teased recently will finally give him some meaty material to work with.
