Originally, Trish Stratus vs. Lita for the Women's Championship was planned for Wrestlemania 21. Unfortunately, Lita's torn ACL injury scuppered those plans. Instead, Trish would feud with Christy Hemme who brought in Lita to become her trainer. At Wrestlemania, despite a valiant effort, Christy lost to Trish; but the storyline wasn't over. The next night on Raw, a rematch was scheduled. Trish would almost decapitate Christy with a Chick Kick before the bell had even rung. Lita - who had yet to leave the ring - got in Trish's face and traded slaps with her before gaining the upper hand. Trish would then proceed to kick Lita's injured leg and go on to lock her in a painful submission to aggravate the injury. Lita would have to be carried away by referees as Trish gleefully celebrated her latest twisted actions.
