10 Disturbing Times WWE Flirted With Romance Angles

7. Beaver Cleavage

Beaver Cleavage debuted in 1999 as a sick riff on the Leave It To Beaver protagonist.

If you somehow missed the subtlety behind his name, it was a double reference to private areas. Unconfirmed rumours suggest that other scrapped suggestions included "M*nge McBreasts" and "P*ssy T*ts".

Introduced to fans via vignettes as a grown man playing a young boy who enjoyed sexual relations with his mother, the double entendres were less subtle than his friggin' name. At one point, he complained that his cereal was too dry. Instead of just taking a short trip to the fridge, he asked for "mother's milk". The implication, just in case you didn't grasp it, was that Beaver was going to suck his mother's t*s, spit out the milk, and pour it via his mouth over his frosted flakes. Or just bonk her senseless, since he was a professional combat athlete primarily interested in having it off with a family member.

As it transpired, the woman playing his mother was revealed to be his girlfriend, who he was abusing. Except he wasn't, because she was lying.

It will never not rule that pro wrestling in North America has finally exorcised the ghost of Vince Russo and is good now.

So no, McMahon's apesh*t 2000s period wasn't the first time WWE really wanted to run an incest angle before seeing sense.

Nor was it the last...
