10 Dream Scenarios For Wrestling's New BOOM Period

7. AEW Finally Gets The Women's Division Right

Part of the problem with the AEW women's division is that Tony Khan books it like the men's when there's nowhere near as much depth.

The pushed challenger will win a string of matches ahead of the pay-per-view. These are matches they logically can't lose. This multiple week "arc" can get boring, since there are very few opportunities for the wrestler to get over elsewhere. Promo time is at a premium, the angles mostly lack true thought (and, not coincidentally, attention). All the while, the most promising crop of upcoming talent - Red Velvet and Mariah May amongst select others - miss weeks at a time of all-important reps.

The one match per week clause needs to go.

Mariah May in particular has something that cannot be taught. She exudes pure presence and star power, her best stuff looks wicked, and she's as promising as she is marketable - but she can get lost in there and that won't stop happening on the schedule she works.

The answer is screaming AEW in the face; only with true commitment and parity will these lingering issues go away.
