8. Toru Yano & R-Truth
Despite the protestations of one Jim Cornette, when it comes to wrestling funny equals money, and when it comes to being funny, few are better than R-Truth & Yano Toru.
R-Truth has been a comedic highlight in the WWE for years now and was undisputably the right choice to carry the company's 24/7 Championship before Rob Gronkowski buggered off with it. Toru Yano is similarly NJPW's first choice when it comes to comedy, and together the duo would be perfect for warming the crowd up in the opening match.
Having said that, they also have the chops to be considered serious title challengers. R-Truth's repeated 24/7 Title wins show off a crafty side to his character that could easily translate into the ring, and Yano has picked up wins over the likes of Kazuchika Okada and Minoru freaking Suzuki (more on them later). Although neither man is a credible heavyweight title contender, together they'd make for formidable tag team champions. The fact that they could make the audience laugh on their way to victory would be the icing on the cake.
