10 Dream Wrestling Matches Fans Just Missed Out On

5. Chris Jericho vs. Bret Hart

Even though Bret Hart and Chris Jericho would be on opposite sides of the ring from one another during The Hitman's less-than-memorable last run in 2010, they would never face off one-on-one. That tag-team match on Monday Night Raw, teaming Hart with John Cena and Jericho with Edge was a short encounter, one which had minimal interaction from the two Canadians. WWE can't be blamed for not booking Jericho vs. Hart in 2010, Bret was in no fit state to carry out even a short singles match against someone like Y2J, but WCW have no such excuses. There was ample time to promote Jericho vs. Hart on either television or Pay-Per-View between December, 1997 and August, 1999, but the trigger was never pulled. Perhaps this is down to how Jericho was viewed in Atlanta, he wasn't quite seen as the big star he would become, but it still would have been nice to see Chris Jericho lock horns with one of his childhood heroes. Eventually, Y2J would get to face his all time favourite, Shawn Michaels, but he'd never have the chance to tangle with Bret Hart one-on-one.
