10 Dream Wrestling Matches That Didn't Deliver

6. Brock Lesnar Vs. Samoa Joe (Great Balls Of Fire)

Few fans switched off Great Balls of Fire last year complaining they had just been served up a poor main event. Rather, the consensus was that it was good for what it was, i.e. a match of six minutes and change that ended just as soon as it began to get interesting.

Considering the wrestlers involved here, that was hugely disappointing. Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe are two of the industry's only legit heavyweights, performers who go about their business in the ring with an intensity and authenticity virtually unmatched by anyone else.

The very second that Joe signed for WWE in 2015, this was the meeting that fans wanted to see, and the prospect became even more mouth-watering during those testy promos in the weeks leading up to the event.

To cap off that kind of build-up with such a short end chapter was an enormous anti-climax. It felt as though company heads were more concerned with rebuilding The Beast Incarnate's reputation than they were putting on a crowd-pleasing spectacle (when those options weren't really mutually antagonistic).
