10 Dream Wrestling Matches That Didn't Deliver
5. Vince McMahon Vs. Bret Hart (WrestleMania XXVI)
Not every match featuring the Chairman of the Board was totally groovy - which is probably understandable given that, for all his bulging muscles, he is not strictly a professional wrestler.
But Vince McMahon has nevertheless delivered great (and if not great then at least passable) bouts in the ring with son Shane, Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels, each of them managing to surpass all the pre-show expectations.
It's his match with Bret Hart at WrestleMania XXVI that really lets him down. Despite being billed as a for-the-ages grudge match - a description which you can't really argue with when you consider the 12-year build-up - it was severely lacking in feeling or intensity.
The problem is here was simply that neither man was in the right physical condition to compete. This one really needed to happen five to eight years earlier if the company wanted it to live up to the occasion fans had fantasised about for so many years.
