10 Dream Wrestling Matches (That We Really Needed To Happen This Decade)

8. AJ Styles Vs. The Undertaker

Like one of The Undertaker's more famous dream matches (we'll get to that later), the idea of a match between him and AJ Styles was a fantasy that suddenly became a possibility midway through the last decade.

Styles had made a name for himself in multiple wrestling organizations throughout the world, including TNA, and finally made the jump to WWE in 2016. From there, it seemed like 'The Phenomenal' AJ Styles was destined to cross paths with the company's one and only 'Phenom'. Unfortunately, the pair only shared the ring once and it had nothing to do with a potential rivalry - though there was some talk of a match between the two taking place at the 2017 Royal Rumble.

'Taker's best in-ring days are long behind him, but with the right opponent, he can still be carried to a fairly strong performance - something we saw earlier this year when he delivered his best offering in four years. Now, given that Styles has spent the past half a decade dragging career-bests out of John Cena and Roman Reigns, it's easy to see why he would've been an ideal candidate for 'The Deadman'. After all, a solid match against Styles could have saved us from some of his many dragged-out duds in the second half of the decade.

Unlike most of the others on this list, there's a slight possibility that this one might still happen at some point - especially after 'Taker's in-ring resurrection. That, however, doesn't change the fact that we still should have seen it by now.
