10 Dream WWE Matches (That Will Never Happen)

1. Bret Hart Vs. Eddie Guerrero

Bret Hart WWE Championship
WWE

Two incredible technical wrestlers, former world champions and emblems of venerable in-ring families. Two of the most beloved superstars in WWE history, taken from the ring too soon whether by serious injury or tragic death. The dream match to end all dream matches.

With the personas of the two alone, there are so many ways you could have played this. Bret, the clean cut babyface vs. Eddie, the unscrupulous cheat. Hart in his latter day bitter persona against Guerrero the limitless bundle of easygoing charisma. Hart’s one weakness - his relative lack of mic skills - would have been more than picked up by smooth talking Eddie. The possibilities are endless, and that’s before you even get to the wrestling itself. Bret may be the greatest technical wrestler of all time, and Eddie’s skill set among the business’ widest ranging. You’d imagine they couldn’t help but put on a run of classics.

Both men were born into the business but forged their own paths, and for their careers to end without facing off is a bummer. It goes to show the importance of perspective, however: the real tragedy is that Eddie is no longer with us.
