WWE is better than ever about acknowledging the world of professional wrestling outside of their own programs, but if you believe the rumors then there was a time when Shane McMahon hoped that WWE.com could become the definitive source for all pro wrestling news. An ESPN for the wrestling world if you will. Holding to that analogy, This Week In Wrestling would be the website's SportsCenter. This weekly show would not only cover what's happening in WWE but would look at the world of wrestling at large to keep fans updated on what is happening in Ring Of Honor, EVOLVE, PWG, NJPW and elsewhere. The wealth of wrestling knowledge WWE currently has on staff combined with the company's exceptional production values would no doubt elevate such a program to several levels above your average fansite or podcast that regularly does this. It's highly doubtful that WWE's more relaxed policies concerning outside companies would ever become so relaxed as to allow for such a show, but it would be fascinating to see.
