10 Dream WWE Returns That IMMEDIATELY Became Nightmares

8. Kurt Angle

The entire wrestling world was excited to see what Kurt Angle could do when he returned to WWE following a decade-long stay in TNA. His 2017 comeback made headlines for the right reasons, and everyone braced for cracking matches between Kurt and some of the E's finest.

Or not.

Instead, definitely due to his physical limitations, Kurt was turned into a bland Raw GM and then had to smile his way through the anchor that was Jason Jordan being revealed as his kayfabe son. Christ, people did not take kindly to that rubbish, and they were only too happy to let WWE know about it.

Worse, the story didn't really go anywhere in the end anyway. WWE lost interest fast, and Jordan was forced to retire from the ring early due to injuries. So, rather than watch the Olympian tear it up against Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler and others, fans saw Kurt as a dull authority figure who capped off his career vs. Baron Corbin.

Yuck.
