10 Dream WWE Returns That IMMEDIATELY Became Nightmares

5. Scott Hall

It's really nice that Scott Hall received an iconic send off at the 2014 Hall Of Fame. His "Bad times don't last, but 'Bad Guys' do" line will live forever, and rightly so. The one-time Razor Ramon had personal demons aplenty, but he was a legitimately great worker in his prime.

2002 was not his prime.

Years of real-life problems during an often controversial stay in WCW had changed Hall by the time he returned as part of the nWo in '02. Heavily publicised substance abuse issues still had a hold on the guy, and they'd result in contractual termination mere months into his second go-around as a WWF'er.

During that run, Scott worked a depressing match vs. Steve Austin at WrestleMania X8, and turned in mediocre performance after mediocre performance as part of the rapidly fading nWo. He became background noise to Hulk Hogan's conversion from monochrome back to red and yellow, then got shown the door shortly after misbehaving (to put it incredibly mildly) on the infamous "Plane Ride From Hell".
