7. Austin vs Goldberg

Again, any opportunity for this ultimate WWF vs WCW face-off was extremely slim, especially given that Austin retired from the WWF less than 18 months after the company has purchased their longtime rivals. Surely, though, if the Invasion angle had been booked like we all would have loved, a Mania showdown between the two most badass baldies of the 90s would have been the ultimate pay-off? Frustratingly, Goldberg was one of many big WCW names who chose not to jump ship when WCW went under, and by the time he turned up in the WWE, Austin was already done in the ring. The two still had some fun interactions during Goldberg's relatively brief stint with the company, and we did get to see Big Bill eat a stunner from the Rattlesnake at Wrestlemania 20, but imagine if the two had been given a proper feud to work through? We know we'd pay to see it.
