10 Dumb Reasons Why Wrestlers Had To Apologise To Other Wrestlers

2. Edge & Christian (Made Friends With Creative)

Bob Holly didn't like being left at airports, and he didn't like seeing young wrestlers give gifts to members of the WWF creative team. In 2000, that's what Edge and Christian did. They gave head writer Brian Gewirtz some action figures he was collecting as a present.

That was viewed as 'buttering up' someone in a position of power by the roster.

E&C were pulled in front of the now-iconic Court and asked to explain themselves. They said that were just friends with Brian, but the locker room wasn't having any of that. In the end, both Canadians had to stump up some cash and buy The Undertaker some Jack Daniels, JBL a crate of beer and Holly some protein powder (Bob wrote about that in his book).

Head writer or not, Brian was still the tag-team's mate. It's pretty dumb that they weren't even allowed to give him a little geeky gift without that being seen as a bribe for better creative.
