If you ever take a trip down to Cobb County, Georgia. Core childhood memory unlocked for some who had forgotten Big Boss Man's banging entrance track once he turned babyface. At first glance, the thought that a corrupt prison guard/corrections officer could be anything other than a mean-spirited heel seemed silly.

The WWF found the right angle though.

Boss Man turned when Ted DiBiase cut a deal with his manager Slick to have him collect the Million Dollar Title from Jake Roberts. That obvious heel move would’ve further cemented Boss Man as despicable, but Vince McMahon experimented with a babyface run. It took off, and so did tweaking the character to become a paragon of virtue/law and order.

Honestly, this shouldn’t have worked as well as it did. Turning Boss Man's mean scowl to a jovial smile was genius. Now, rather than going out of his way to be cruel, this Big Boss went overboard to help those in need. What a guy. Today, most fans recall Boss Man as a face more than a heel.
