Bray Wyatt's maniacal and twisted 'Fiend' offshoot will always be one of wrestling's biggest 'what might've been' situations. Bray's genius-level creative mind shouldn't be questioned, but it was seemingly so smart even WWE chiefs couldn't comprehend what to do with an alter ego who ran around possessing other wrestlers.

Alexa Bliss was the prime example.

Her childhood torment backstory had some potential, but the full promise of the possessed Lilly doll she carried around was squashed by over-relying on dumb horror (B) movie cliches and absurd, hokey tricks. It certainly didn't help that supporting cast members like Shayna Baszler effectively feuded with Lilly more than Alexa.

Sure, the story was clumsily handled overall then, but the idea of Wyatt corrupting those who fell under his spell and controlling them by weaponising old fears was somehow still fascinating. It was almost like Bray was doing so unwillingly too - he was lost to the 'Fiend', and that sucked others into his frantic and troubled web of misery.
