6. Randy Orton Uses IED As An Excuse

Anything mental health-related is naturally a sensitive subject and something pro wrestling should be very careful with. It's a serious topic, one that affects millions of people around the globe. Still, back in 2009, Randy Orton grabbed a microphone and solemnly announced that he suffered from Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED).

WWE didn't actually roll with this for too long, but the IED thing was portrayed as an excuse by Randy to justify his awful behaviour and shockingly violent tendencies. He'd been going around the place punting people in the skull, and had even provided one of the best most vile moments ever by handcuffing Triple H then RKO'ing and kissing Stephanie McMahon.

The IED excuse gave Orton an extra edge during an era when he was legitimately terrifying at times. His piercing eyes and trance-like facial expressions added credence to the claim, but it was also made clear on commentary that Randy was blowing off his actions as something he just couldn't control (when he definitely could - he just didn't want to).

That's deep.
