10 Dumbest Decisions By WWE Champions

1. Rob Van Dam - Getting Pulled Over By The Police

From the realms of kayfabe we end with some crushing reality, such was the manner in which Rob Van Dam went from having two titles to none in a matter of hours following an unfortunate legal situation in mid-2006.

Some five years after WWE could have easily done so on a heady cocktail of talent and buzz, they finally rocket-strapped RVD as part of an earnest attempt to relaunch ECW after the mammoth success of the Rise & Fall Of ECW DVD and (Van Dam brainchild) One Night Stand pay-per-views.

By defeating John Cena at the 2006 event in May only to be handed ECW's strap on the show's debut two nights later, 'Mr Pay-Per-View' was Mr Everything. For about a month.

After being pulled over by police for speeding, Van Dam (along with Sabu) were hit with various drugs possession charges when their vehicle was searched and the pair were arrested. RVD nobly attempted to shoulder any and all charges for his mate, but the damage was already done in WWE's eyes. He lost both belts within days of the July incident, and was off television until August following the serving of a damaging 30 day suspension.
