10 Early WWE Predictions For 2017
5. Seth Rollins Vs. Triple H
This one’s inevitable. Triple H cost Seth Rollins the Universal Championship the other month, and his presence has continued to hang over Raw’s main event scene. The Game hasn’t gotten his hands dirty since, but Seth’s every action has been driven by the fact that he was screwed out of the belt, and their rivalry has only just begun.
The pieces will likely start coming together by the end of the year, but WWE need to find the right balance. It’s tough to enjoy Seth’s matches at the moment knowing that Triple H could come-out and interrupt at any moment, but WWE are right to exercise patience. Do too much too fast and the Rollins/Triple H rivalry will burn-out prematurely, but do too little and fans will completely lose interest.
Look for this feud to dominate early 2017, away from the Universal Title picture. As much as we may want them to go away, Triple H and the McMahons will always be WWE’s protagonists, and they’ll be a thorn in Rollins’ side for months to come. Triple H and Stephanie will continue making their former protégeé’s life a misery for as long as they possibly can, before The Architect eventually scoops the victory.
