10 Emotional UFC Moments That Made The Fans Cry

2. "Where My Coaches?"

While Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson hasn't always cut the most sympathetic figure, he earned scores of new fans after returning to the UFC in 2014, and rebuilding his reputation as a Light Heavyweight after years of weight cut misery. He was riding an incredible wave by UFC 210, establishing a string of knockouts on par with any other in company history, and this earned him a second title shot against Daniel Cormier, who'd submitted him two years prior.

'Rumble' lost, again, but the true sadness didn't come until his post-fight interview.

Tired, broken, and defeated, Johnson gave no excuses for his loss, then looked around for his team. "Where [are] my coaches?", he asked despondently, but Henry Hooft and co. had already left for the back.

Moments later, Johnson sprung an unexpected retirement speech on the crowd. His voice cracked several times, and Anthony made it to the end, but that he was made to go through this alone, without the support of his team, was crushing. Reportedly frustrated by their fighter's refusal to stick to their gameplan, the coaches weren't there when he needed their support the most.
