Brock Lesnar was all set to face Bill Goldberg at WrestleMania 20. The referee for the match was "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Since Goldberg wasn't on Smackdown due to Goldberg filling his contractual dates, Austin appeared on Smackdown to build up the match by getting into a brawl with Lesnar. At the time, Austin was a year removed from wrestling so he was still in great shape. He wasn't brawling around too much, but they had a WrestleMania match to sell so he went all out and they had a memorable scrap all around the arena. The brawl didn't even last that long, but it was so intense with Austin causing Lesnar to bleed and he gave Paul Heyman a Stone Cold Stunner as well. Lesnar bailed before either man hit their finishing move. http://youtu.be/iFSG1VU-eUM Watching this brawl makes you wonder how amazing it would be if they had a match after the proper build. Their styles would have been perfect with Lesnar as the power guy and Austin as the babyface that keeps fighting back. Unlike John Cena, people actually love Austin, so there would be a lot of support for him against Lesnar. This brawl was also historic because it was actually Lesnar's last appearance on Smackdown before he left the company in 2004.
