10 Ex-WWE Superstars With Unfinished Business
4. Rey Mysterio
What Happened: It's easy to take Rey Rey for granted in 2015. His last couple of years with WWE were injury-prone and without any feuds or angles that really set the world alight. It also didn't help that he received what was arguably the most lukewarm reception for a big name Rumble competitor ever in 2014 when the crowd realised that there really would be no Daniel Bryan that year. After reports of some rather messy contract issues arose at the start of this year, Mysterio finally left WWE in February after 13 years with the company.
How To Book A Return: Recent issues aside, Mysterio is an iron-clad future Hall Of Famer; the most famous cruiserweight in pro wrestling history, an incredible competitor in his heyday and, even now, still a guy that surely has enough to offer to warrant at least one final run with the company. Bring him back in when he's ready, book him in a Mania feud with a hungry and skilled young'un (Adrian Neville?), let him put that person over after one final, great match and let him get that last Mania moment he deserves. You know it makes sense.
