10 Exact Moments Wrestlers Told WWE Creative “Enough Is Enough”
9. Big Show Feels Disrespected
You've likely forgotten all about one throwaway backstage skit from the 4 January 2021. There, an arrogant Randy Orton pushed Big Show back down into his seat, and wouldn't let him stand up to tower over him. This one moment told Paul Wight his time was up in WWE.
Wight didn't mind giving Orton the advantage, but he did think he should've managed some sort of retaliation (or at least shown some defiance). Later, he also felt like others in the company spoke down to him, and generally didn't get good vibes.
So, Wight told Chris Jericho on 'Talk Is Jericho' that he was keen to move on from an "absolutely horrendous" evening. The giant figured he wouldn't get any respect in WWE circles from that point on, and he fancied branching out to do something different beyond the company anyway.
He's since shown up in AEW, but hasn't done much of note on-screen with Tony Khan's group.
