7. Drew McIntyre Doesn’t Get Assurances

It'd be guesswork (and probably false) to suggest Drew didn't like his hot Triple Threat bout with GUNTHER and Sheamus at WrestleMania 39. That trio tore the house down on the midcard, but one key word there might be the problem. "Midcard".

McIntyre had been sliding into that groove ever since failing to win the Undisputed Title from Roman Reigns on Clash At The Castle in September 2022. Despite still being a huge star, the Scot started his tumble from main events to middle of the pack attraction.

Now, according to various reports, McIntyre is thrashing out terms on a new deal with WWE but wants assurances he'll be handled correctly. This is nothing new in the biz, but it has led to conjecture about Drew potentially jumping to AEW or taking some time away from the spotlight.

It'd be real interesting to find out what was running through the man's mind as he sold on the canvas post-match in Hollywood this past April.
