10 Exact Moments Wrestlers Told WWE Creative “Enough Is Enough”
5. CM Punk Has Had Enough
The above shot was taken during CM Punk's entrance at the 2014 Royal Rumble. As he stared towards the heavens and prepared to work a gruelling 49-minute stint in the 30-man match, Punk already knew something else: He was close to being done as a WWE full-timer.
Less than 24 hours later, Punk informed both Vince McMahon and Triple H he was taking off before Raw even started. Most of the wrestler's unhappiness seemed to stem from working through various injuries without the promise of ever headlining WrestleMania, but he was just generally beat up and tired from the rigours of the road too.
Everything came to a head in late-January.
This wasn't Punk's first run in with wrestling management, and it wouldn't be his last. Hell, the guy is still making headlines for stuff like this in 2023. Yes, almost a full decade on from telling WWE he wasn't chuffed with how things had been going. His actual wording might not have been that polite!
