10 Excellent 2015 WWE Matches That Deserve More Recognition

2. Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose €” Ladder Match (Money In The Bank)

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are perfect rivals. Their feud, like so many of the best over the years, is one that WWE can revisit whenever they like and it will have lost none of its heat. The rivalry was the epicentre of Rollins' time as the owner of the Money in the Bank briefcase and WWE opted to revisit it in the early days of Rollins' WWE Championship reign coming out of WrestleMania. Ambrose won his way into the fatal four-way title match at Payback, then came out on the wrong end of a "Dusty finish" at Elimination Chamber. He got the chance to battle Rollins for a third time at Money in the Bank, with the title suspended above the ring. They put on a terrific match, with plenty of brutality and an unusually methodical pace. Similar to ladder matches of the past, the steel played very little part in much of the contest, with ladder-based highspots saved until the later stages. It was a psychologically brilliant match that put a definitive full stop on the Ambrose vs. Rollins feud €“ at least for now. The Money in the Bank match between Ambrose and Rollins received mixed reviews. Many were critical of the more violent spots at the conclusion of the contest, particularly given some implausible false finishes. The match, however, was the ideal blow-off for a red hot feud and left the door open for future battles.
