10 Faces You Never Thought You'd See On WWE TV
3. Sting
Despite flirting with contract negotiations several times since WCW ceased operations, it seemed highly unlikely that Sting would ever enter WWE. The last holdout of the Monday Night War, Sting decided to work for TNA rather than WWE during much of the 21st century, admitting that he didn’t like how other ex-WCW talents were treated under McMahon’s rule.
At Survivor Series 2014, that all changed. The vigilante interfered in the main event, dropping Triple H and helping Dolph Ziggler (temporarily) vanquish The Authority. The Stinger would go on to compete at WrestleMania 31, somehow losing to Triple H and then losing to Seth Rollins a few months later. He suffered a career-ending injury and announced his retirement during the Hall of Fame ceremony in 2016.
Maybe he should have stuck to his gut and avoided WWE, after all.
