3. Oddjobber
One of the classic characters from the James Bond movie 'Goldfinger', Oddjob is one of the henchmen for the film's villain, the title character, Auric Goldfinger. Using his deadly bowler hat, which has razorblades on the rim, the character is a favourite amongst fans of the James Bond cannon, just as actor Harold Sakata was a favourite of NWA and Mid-Atlantic wrestling fans. Wrestling from 1949 right up until just 7 years before his passing from cancer in 1982, Sakata was a squat man - measuring in at 5'10", but one who reportedly had tremendous power and deceptive quickness. In essence, the surprisingly dangerous nature of the man was perfect for the Oddjob character, just as it was inside the ring. Capturing many titles, including the NWA Texas Heavyweight Championship, the NWA Hawaii Heavyweight Title, and even held the NWA Hawaii Tag-Team Titles with King Curtis Iaukea. Curiously, Sakata also appeared in a 1974 movie called The Wrestler, produced by Verne Gagne, and later had himself played by Keiji Mutoh (The Great Muta) in a film about the legendary Japanese grappler Rikidozan.
