10 Fan Favorite Wrestlers Who Will Never Get Their Big Breakout Match
1. Cesaro
Look, we all like Cesaro. He's damn near flawless in the ring. Strong. Innovative. Thoroughly entertaining. He has had kickass matches with the likes of Sami Zayn, John Cena, William Regal, and Daniel Bryan across NXT and WWE. (And that's ignoring his work in ROH, PWG, and Chikara, all of which is worth your time.)
He has absolutely shined in the mid-card, the upper-mid-card, and the tag division, but despite a few flirtations where he has bumped his head against the glass ceiling at Titan Towers that separates the Chairman's good graces from the rabble, Cesaro remains a could-have-been, perhaps a should-have-been, instead of a will-be.
Don't forget, he's already been singled out by Vince McMahon on Steve Austin's podcast. Everyone should've known then that no matter what he did, he was never gonna get the opportunity to be The Man.
That video above? It's the perfect metaphor for his WWE career: an outstanding performer denied the big win he earned.
Tide yourself over with: the absolute bounty of great matches I've mentioned above, particularly the two-out-of-three falls match against Zayn in NXT.
