10 Fantastic WrestleMania Matches You Totally Forgot

2. Mr. Perfect vs. The Blue Blazer - WrestleMania V

WrestleMania V may not be the worst WrestleMania, but at times it€™s an absolute chore to get through and the bad more than outweighs the good. There are fourteen matches at WrestleMania V, as well as an interminably long Piper€™s Pit segment and sometimes it feels like it will never end. Nestled in between a Bushwhackers/Rougeaus match and a Demolition/Powers of Pain match is the bright spark of Mr. Perfect v The Blue Blazer. It isn€™t very long, just over five minutes, but it€™s the definition of a pleasant surprise, when you consider the majority of what was on that card. Mr. Perfect is right up there on the list of people who deserved to be WWE Champion, and he was always at his best when he was against someone who he could really let loose with. The Blue Blazer was a twenty-three year old Owen Hart, who had already had an acclaimed run in New Japan Pro Wrestling before this short stint in WWF. The match is bittersweet because of what happened to both Hart and Mr. Perfect decades later, but it exemplifies the concept of a great WrestleMania match you might not have been aware ever happened. It€™s definitely worth going back and checking out, even if a large chunk of WrestleMania V isn€™t.
