4. Lana Ended 2015 With Nuclear Heat
WWE fans fancied forgetting all about the dire love-fest storyline that saw Lana split from Rusev, turn babyface and start getting the hots for Dolph Ziggler. Summer Rae was drafted in as Ru-Ru's replacement for his 'Ravishing Russian', but the story was an uncoordinated mess of bad ideas and even poorer execution.
It was sputtering along on life support when real couple Rusev and Lana got engaged in October 2015. TMZ got hold of the story, which caused issues behind the scenes. WWE management were furious at the couple for stomping all over their (admittedly dreadful and already-dying) storyline.
Lana later claimed on ‘Talk Is Jericho’ that she took all the heat backstage for the situation, but denies leaking the news to TMZ herself. Regardless of who dished the details to celeb gossip mongers, Vince McMahon was out for blood and Lana suffered a creative slide that'd make Mordecai blush.
