10 Fascinating WWE Royal Rumble 1994 Facts
3. It Was Bam Bam Bigelow's Only Royal Rumble Match
For as prominent as "The Beast From the East" was in classic WWE lore, it's sometimes forgotten that Bigelow had two relatively-short tenures with the company: one lasted a year back in 1987-88, the other was three years from late 1992 to late 1995. It certainly feels like he was around longer.
The 1994 Royal Rumble match was the only time that the ever-reliable super-heavyweight took part in the 30-man match. Bigelow took part in the undercard at the 1993-95 shows (pulling double-duty in 1994), and was nowhere to be seen at the time of the 1988 show.
For what it's worth, Bigelow was the 1994 match's duration king, lasting 30 minutes and 12 seconds. He also made five eliminations, which were the third most in the contest, behind only Diesel's seven, and Lex Luger's six.
