10 Fascinating WWE Survivor Series 2007 Facts
7. It Was The Last WWE PPV Match For Both Lance Cade And Trevor Murdoch
Cade and Murdoch seemed to have a pretty good spot on the card, as a reliable and cohesive heel duo that could work fun, formulaic TV matches with two thrown-together babyface stars, or another steady team. Prior to The Revival, Cade and Murdoch (though not quite as scientific) filled the niche of classic southern-style rasslin' tag team well enough.
The duo successfully defended the tag team belts at Survivor Series against Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly. Three weeks later, they dropped the belts to Rhodes and Holly on Raw's anniversary show, and then seemed to lose all semblance of momentum.
The two split in the spring of 2008, and Murdoch was subsequently released following an uninspired babyface turn. Cade found new life as Chris Jericho's bodyguard, but was released himself in October 2008 due to personal issues. One year earlier, Cade and Murdoch seemingly had a supporting role on most pay-per-views, but once their last reign ended, so too did their WWE prominence.
