10 Fascinating WWE Survivor Series 2016 Facts
6. Shane McMahon Replaced Baron Corbin, Who Was Supposed To Be Hurt
Baron Corbin was announced as a member of SmackDown's five-man contingent for the main elimination bout. Weeks before the pay-per-view, however, Corbin "injured" his leg during a brawl with Kalisto on SmackDown. Soon after, with Corbin apparently unable to compete, heroic wonderboy Shane McMahon was here to save the day, jeans tucked into shoes and all.
During the pay-per-view, Corbin attacked both Kalisto and Kendrick during their Cruiserweight title match, with no sign of any injury, not even a limp.
This is a callback to the 2014 list, where it was noted that Jack Swagger physically took part in the event, despite being subbed out of the big elimination match due to "injury". Maybe the plummeting ratings are due to the people in charge not watching any more either?
