3. The WWE Championship Match Was The First With Two Third-Generation Wrestlers

In all, eight third-generation wrestlers have taken part in a WrestleMania match: The Rock, Chavo Guerrero, Natalya, Ted Dibiase, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Bray Wyatt, and Randy Orton. Only Rock and the latter pair have ever seriously been entrenched in WWE's World title scene (though Dibiase had his flirtations in 2009-10).

Wyatt's WWE Championship defense against Orton marked the first time two such wrestlers faced off for a World title. Wyatt is the son of Mike Rotunda, and grandson of Blackjack Mulligan (Rotunda's father-in-law), while Orton's heritage includes father "Cowboy" Bob and grandfather Bob, Sr. It was also the first match of any sort to include the super-imposition of writhing insects on the canvas, so it had that going for it as well.
