10 Female Wrestlers WWE Should Sign
2. Io Shirai, Kairi Hojo & Mayu Iwatani
Okay, so we're cheating slightly here by naming three wrestlers as one entry on the list but the Stardom stars are so intrinsically linked as the now disbanded 'Threedom', that it's tough not to.
Shirai, Hojo and Iwatani have been called "three of the best wrestlers in the world" by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and with their output in recent years, it's not hard to see why.
Their hard hitting work in Stardom is more than worth checking out, especially if you've enjoyed Asuka's time in NXT.
All three made their Lucha Underground TV debut last week as Black Lotus' assassins and it'll be interesting to see how well the promotion utilises them. It's likely that after their in-ring work has been exposed to a new U.S audience though, fans will be clamouring to see them in WWE or NXT.
Rumours suggest that Shirai and Hojo have been offered contracts with WWE to start in 2017 but only time will tell whether those reports turn out to be correct or not.
As Asuka's peers, they could make waves in NXT if they entered as a group to challenge her. Or, alternatively, all three would be fantastic if WWE does go ahead with a women's tournament in 2017.
