10 Fights To Make After UFC 251
1. And The Rest
And now a quick rundown of the remaining notable fighters on the card, and who they should face-off against in the Octagon next.
Paige VanZant is reportedly leaving the organization to test the free agency. She amassed a record of 2-4 in the UFC.
Jiří Procházka impressed in his debut by viscously knocking out Volkan Oezdemir and earning a Performance of the Night bonus, storming the top ten rankings in the process. With everyone else either set up with fights, or in Anthony Smith's case, needing serious time off to heal, it seems natural to slot him in against Corey Anderson next.
Volkan was doing well against the awkward Jiří and most likely took the first round before he got caught. He definitely gets respect for taking on a newcomer, but now he'll slip down the pack. A fight against Nikita Krylov would satisfy the rankings, or a stand-up battle against Johnny walker would get people watching.
Muslim Salikhov just edged out a win on Saturday, but shouldn't be given an opponent from the stacked top fifteen welterweight rankings yet. A match-up against 'The Leech' Li Jiliang would allow the winner of that bout a crack at a ranked opponent afterward.
And that's all folks. UFC 251 has left us with a ton of exciting prospects for the future, and we still have three more events over the next two weeks stacked with more fights to look forward to.
See you all next time at Fight Island!
