10 Flops WWE Should Never Have Tried Again

10. Bragging Rights

"Bragging Rights". Two depressing little words that'll give any wrestling fan grim flashbacks.

In 2009, WWE nonsensically decided to run a team-based pay-per-view 28 days before running a traditionally team-based pay-per-view. The first ever Bragging Rights show revolved around the mind-numbing boredom of Raw vs. SmackDown, a concept that was better left to THQ's (now 2K's) series of video games.

Team SmackDown beat Team Raw to win the not-so-prestigious trophy one month before Survivor Series, and everybody figured WWE would learn their lesson by 2010. They didn't, and Bragging Rights happened again with the same lifeless 'Us vs. Them' dynamic that relied on heels and babyfaces who hated one another 11 months of the year pretending they cared about brand superiority.

Somebody should've kindly reminded the writers that the first show was a bust. It drew around 200,000 buys, and was so bad that it closed Pittsburgh's Mellon Arena; only kidding, that part was happening anyway. Still, Bragging Rights 2010 shouldn't have happened.
