10 Forgotten WrestleMania Gems

5. Chicago Street Fight: Ahmed Johnson And Legion of Doom vs. The Nation Of Domination - WrestleMania 13

While many look back at Ahmed Johnson as a failure given all of the hype, the multiple opportunities and the sizable push from management that he had behind him, there was a point in time in which he was one of the hottest babyfaces in the company. In fact, not only was he immensely popular, his rivalry with Faarooq and the Nation of Domination was one of the marquee programs in the company. Johnson, always at a numbers disadvantage, recruited the legendary Legion of Doom, who made their return to WWE prior to WrestleMania 13. From there, a Chicago Street Fight was booked for the biggest show of the year. Hawk, Animal, Johnson, Faarooq,Crush and Savio Vega rolled into the Rosemont Horizon and tore the house down with a wild, chaotic, brutal match that incorporated everything AND the kitchen sink. The contest was the perfect culmination of a feud as heated as the one between Johnson and Faarooq, which had begun some six months earlier. As fun and rewarding as the match was, however, WWE Creative let the participants down by continuing the story past WrestleMania and watering down the effect of the contest. Perhaps that is why the match remains as overlooked as it is today.
