10 Forgotten WWE Wrestlers Who Were Supposed To Be Stars

6. Nathan Jones

It's funny how often the formula for giving new talent a rub is to associate them with The Undertaker in some way. Funnier still is how often it doesn't seem to work. Such is the case of one Nathan Jones, a 6 foot 10 inch tower of a man (Vince likes them big, after all) and genuine ex-convict- one of Australia's most wanted (for eight armed robberies in a two-year span), no less! While behind bars, he became acquainted with the sport of powerlifting and became the National Powerlifting Champion of Australia, arguably a more productive endeavor in the long term than breaking rocks or stamping license plates. After debuting in WWE, he became The Undertaker's protege and the two were supposed to battle the team of A-Train and The Big Show at WrestleMania XIX. However, a pre-match ambush saw to it that Dead Man Inc. would be a one-man operation that night- at least, until the closing moments, when Jones appeared to attack The Big Show and allow his partner to pick up the victory. A storyline injury took place so that Jones could go hone his skills further in developmental, but returned later as a villain called "The Colossus of Boggo Road" to join Brock Lesnar's Survivor Series 2003 team. Following that engagement, he ended up quitting the company two weeks later while Smackdown was- conveniently enough- touring his homeland of Australia, citing WWE's rigorous travel as the reason.
