10 Former Midcarders Who Could Return To WWE As Main Eventers In 2015

9. Chris Masters

There are few wrestlers more physically impressive than 'The Masterpiece' Chris Masters. The man is an adonis, which is one of the reasons he was pushed so hard, so early in his WWE career. Master's WWE career got off to a bad start when he smashed Steven Richards' nose and orbital bone with a polish hammer in his debut match the February 1st 2005 Raw. Masters was sick that day and apologised profusely for what was obviously an accident, but it was still far from the perfect start for him. Still, Masters got to feud with Shawn Michaels later in the year and was booked in matches against WWE Champion John Cena and Kurt Angle. After this initially hopeful period, however, Masters began to tumble down the card and could be found teaming or feuding with the similarly dwindling Carlito. Masters was released by WWE in 2007 after multiple Wellness Policy violations but returned to the company in 2009 after a brief stint on the independent circuit. When he returned, Masters dedicated himself fully to his craft and became one of the most well-rounded wrestlers on the roster but he was usually relegated to B show WWE Superstars. Lesnar was released again in 2011, for no apparent reason. This was a mistake by WWE. Masters has returned to the independent scene and received glowing reviews for his work. He still has the look and the talent and is only 31 years old. Masters still has a lot left to give on the big stage and WWE should give him a call.
