10 Former WWE Stars Who Must Return For One More Match

1. Stone Cold Steve Austin

Why It Should Happen: It sounds like a broken record at this point but Austin should have at least one more high profile WWE match in order to sign off properly. Austin bowed out of the ring wars after his loss to The Rock at WrestleMania XIX, but never announced it publicly until after the fact. There's money to be made in an Austin retirement match. It's one of the only big money matches that would help shift 100,000 tickets for WrestleMania 32, which takes place in Austin's home state of Texas. Put Austin up against Brock Lesnar, Triple H or John Cena and just watch the dollar bills roll in. Austin is back to having a good working relationship with WWE, despite some hairy moments related to the handling of his WWE Network podcasts. He's a fan of the business and has talked about the possibility of having one more match many, many times. But will it happen? What Are The Odds: Not good. As much as the fans want it to happen, it's just not looking good at this point. We were given a glimmer of hope when Austin went into Stone Cold promo mode during the Paul Heyman podcast but that was apparently misconstrued. Many thought WWE were planting the seeds for an Austin/Lesnar match at 'Mania 32 but that isn't the plan at all and Vince McMahon was said to be upset about what transpired. He doesn't want Austin to wrestle because of his serious neck injuries. A match with Lesnar is the last thing he needs. A lot can happen between now at April 2nd, 2016, but if the wheels aren't in motion by then it's time to finally put those Austin one more match dreams to bed. What other former WWE stars would you like to see return to the ring for one more match? Let us know in the comments below.
