10 Former WWE Stars Who Must Return For One More Match
2. Kurt Angle
Why It Should Happen: Kurt Angle's last WWE match was a quick untelevised win over jobber Danny Doring at a small WWECW house show in the summer of 2006. For somebody of Angle's standing, that is no way to go out. The Olympic gold medalist was one of the most consistently entertaining members of the roster from 2000 until his exit. That exit was brought on by a wellness policy failure, his rapidly deteriorating body and other bizarre behaviour. Angle was a ticking time bomb when WWE decided to sever ties. Thankfully, he's in a much better place in 2015. His body has held up thanks to his limited schedule and he seems to be in a better place personally, too. Angle would be much easier to deal with in 2015 than he was in 05/06. The WWE Universe, some of whom will have never seen an Angle match, deserve to see him do what he does best, one last time. What Are The Odds: Kurt Angle should, and hopefully will, be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame one day. But, for a man who takes incredible pride in his in-ring performance, he won't want his last televised outing to be a little remembered match against Sabu on SyFy's ECW show. Angle is a wrestler who deserves one more 'Mania, SummerSlam or Royal Rumble match/appearance before he calls a day on his career. Trouble is, WWE have had the opportunity to sign Angle many times over the past few years and they've neglected to every time. It seems they don't think of Angle as highly as the fans do. Or perhaps they're just concerned that he'd flunk a WWE medical, given his history of injuries and substance abuse. Time is running out for the 46-year-old to have one final crack at the big time.
