If Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles is a major dream match right now, then Brock Lesnar vs. Shawn Michaels back in 2003 was every bit as huge. Shawn Michaels was about to enter the second phase of his career back when Brock’s first was just beginning, but the brand split once again conspired to keep the two apart.

The only interaction between the two came in August 2012, in order to hype up Lesnar’s SummerSlam match against Triple H. Michaels informed the 'Beast Incarnate' that he was going to be in Hunter’s corner, an announcement that led to Lesnar breaking the arm of 'The Showstopper'. HBK was once again used to put sympathy on Triple H.

Shawn Michaels and Brock Lesnar never crossed paths in active competition, and they never will. Michaels retired from competition way back in 2010, and the likelihood of him returning to the ring once again is slim to none. If he does, it is more likely to be for a match against a less physical opponent than 'The Conquerer'.
