The 'Big Red Monster' is yet another future WWE Hall of Famer who never faced Brock Lesnar in televised singles competition. Kane was a legitimate monster when Lesnar arrived on the scene in 2002, so it should be considered surprising that their paths never crossed. There is a perfectly good reason for this however.

When Lesnar made his main roster debut, Kane was out injured with torn biceps. He wouldn’t return until later in 2002, and by the time he did Lesnar was exclusively on SmackDown. The brand split kept the two apart until Lesnar’s acrimonious departure in 2004.

Kane wasn’t quite a spent force by the time Lesnar returned in 2012, but he wasn’t the monster he once was either. The 'Big Red Machine' would enjoy an Indian summer of sorts via Team Hell No, but his days as a major singles star were over. Brock Lesnar vs. Kane could still happen on a random WWE Network special or something similar, but Kane’s move into the political sphere makes it increasingly unlikely.
