Brock Lesnar vs. Chris Jericho is another big-time singles match that has never happened. The two faced off at a Calgary house show way back in October 2002, but their only other interactions have been in Royal Rumble matches. Fans might assume that Y2J would have been fed to Lesnar at some point, but they would be wrong.

Both Jericho and Lesnar are guaranteed future WWE Hall of Famers, but it is increasingly unlikely that their paths will ever cross inside the ring. Jericho may well have a couple more runs in him, but Lesnar’s matches are becoming more and more one-time showcase deals. Jericho isn’t going to become the major main event performer that Lesnar demands once more.

Lesnar vs. Jericho is rarely spoken of when critics draw up lists of dream matches that never happened. Why is that? Despite his incredible career, Jericho simply hasn’t been seen as the huge marquee name that Lesnar’s second coming has necessitated. Y2J’s best run came whilst Lesnar was beating down opponents in the Octagon, after all.
