10 Fun Facts About My Trip To WWE WrestleMania 24

3. Edge Steals The Show With The Undertaker

While emotionally the Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels match was incredible, I had no idea that Edge and Undertaker would not only go on last but also go on to steal the show. Edge had worked so hard for years to get the right to main event WrestleMania. He was one of the best villains of the decade and earlier in the night cut a big money promo on comparing kids in the crowd to him in the crowd at WrestleMania VI and how he would crush their dreams just like his dreams were crushed when Hulk Hogan was defeated. The stage was set for a classic. The Undertaker was in the middle of a career renaissance and his program with Edge was a big hit with viewers of Friday Night SmackDown. The two had a lot to follow after celebrities, a WWE title match, Ric Flair€™s retirement and Money In The Bank but after all of that, Taker and Edge had an incredible main event match ending with The Dead Man lifting the World Heavyweight Championship for the second year in a row at WrestleMania. Sadly, after the match some of the fireworks in the arena would cause injury to some of the attendees sitting at the top of the stadium but luckily those people got the medical help they needed and Mania went off the air with Undertaker standing tall and Edge able to relax after stealing the show and main eventing the biggest wrestling show on the planet.
