10 Fun Facts About My Trip To WWE WrestleMania XX

7. Entering Madison Square Garden

With 24 hours until WrestleMania, I decided to take a trip down to MSG just to have a look at the place and soak it all in. As I walked out of Penn Station, I saw the billboard for WrestleMania XX as the honks of taxi cabs sounded in the background and it all felt a bit like a dream and that I was actually there.

As I walked inside the building, there were various names on the floor like you€™d see on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, to honour those who had been inducted into the Madison Square Garden Walk Of Fame. Being the wrestling nut that I was at the time, I kept my eyes trained to the floor to see Vince McMahon€™s plaque, got a photo with it and went off in search of New York Pizza.

On the Sunday afternoon of March 14th, 2004, I walked into MSG to attend WrestleMania XX. It doesn€™t really get much more special than that. The New York crowd were incredibly loud, passionate and excited about 'Mania coming back to the city for the first time in ten years.

As I looked up at the iconic roof of The Garden, I tried to soak it all in, knowing I€™d never get a chance to do WrestleMania in that iconic building again and, looking back now, I probably never will.
