10 Future WWE Grand Slam Champions
3. John Cena
C'mon, like they aren't doing this.
Of every wrestler to have a storyline built around them winning the Grand Slam, John Cena is almost definitely the shoe-in. One day he could just start cutting a promo and go, "hey, I'm missing one of those belts in my collection," and suddenly that angle is happening.
John Cena going around trying to guarantee his spot in history isn't new. Remember his constant fight to tie Ric Flair's 16 time world championship record? Copy/paste that exact storyline over, but make it for the Grand Slam Championship instead. Now that the Intercontinental Championship has some prestige again, thanks to the likes of The Miz and Seth Rollins, it wouldn't even necessarily feel that forced. He could come back to the WWE and say, "well folks, I've done it all, but there's one championship that still eludes me; the Intercontinental Championship, and in turn, my place as a Grand Slam Champion".
This may be simple, but think about how the WWE operates for a second; can you not see hear him cutting this exact promo in your head right now?
